my favorite young adult novels
(NOTE: This page is not finished yet. I'm still working on it. Patience padawan!)
Did you know right now is the "golden age" of Young Adult (YA) literature ? There are so many great YA novels being written by so many amazing authors. YA writers are winning more awards and selling more books than in any other category of publishing--adult books included. People who tell you YA isn't "real" literature or that it's all vampires haven't been reading contemporary YA. (And they probably haven't read Twilight either.) I challenge them to read The Hate U Give or The Book Thief or Feed or Ready Player One and tell me it isn't "real" literature. I also hear tons of parents complaining, "My teenager doesn't read anymore! Books can't compete with their phone." A great book can! You just have to help them find it. Which means you should might want to read some YA books also. Talking about books with your teenager is a great way to connect and share about things that really matter. Like being in love with a vampire. Kidding!
